Still working with Xilo, my web-hosts over this server problem, which seem to be emerging from this blog in particular. As such, running only one plugin (I have to keep Askimet running, the amount of blog spam I get here is ridiculous) and they’re testing it out to see what’s causing an issue.
Quite happy to help them out, but my blog will look and/or act a bit weird for the time being. (Notably, a few extra categories that I normally keep hidden but I use for statistics etc.)

That doesn’t sound very good, sounds like it could be an issue with php or an issue with temporary files. But for one plugin to leak so much memory, is quite bad, poorly written plugins aren’t good.

Heh yeah. I’m working with the guys at Xilo and we’re going to try and isolate the issue down to one plugin. Deactivating them all caused a sudden drop in CPU usage so it’s definitely something going weird. Then I can write a long ranting email to the creator of said plugin. :B
