Edit: So apparently they stole it, oh well.

Caught a twitter (hey look, twitter stuff again!) from the 10 Downing Street guys only a short while ago that their website site has been updated. Very nice piece of work, typography and graphics are clean, well spaced and it’s great to see them bringing in information from their other social network pages such as their YouTube and flickr accounts in a much more visual way rather than just a list of them.
Compared to their old one (at the time of writing can be found here [Edit: NO MORE], taking away the www but otherwise hit the jump for a picture) it’s a big step up. Much easier to read, much better webstandards (seriously, i balked at the code of the old one) and it still has the coloured categories for easy navigation and the content. Nice. Well done I guess. Not so sure about the rather patriotic (what are we, America?) feature on one of our ex-prime ministers Winston Churchill where the image link doesn’t work and you probably get more interesting information on him on his EncyclopediaDramatica article. [Individual page is fine, rest of site is mostly nsfw.] And what’s with the Number 10 “Tour”? Where’s the nuclear bunker? Where’s the pic of the messy bedrooms? These are things we want to know.

It’s total crap and badly designed. Other people think so as well

Well, I had heard that it had been mostly ripped, but not necessarily a bad design. Oh well.
